We are excited to announce the introduction of our 2 oz., 8 oz., 12 oz., 1 lb., 2 lbs., and 5 lbs. package sizes to fit your lifestyle.
The reason for our change is that we are responding to requests from our customers. One of the things you have expressed is the limitation we had in package sizes. The biggest concerns were with regard to the need to purchase a large package when wanting to “try” a new coffee or flavor. On the other end of the scale, larger purchases were limited to 5 lbs. packages when customers desired bags larger than 12 oz. but smaller than 5 lbs.
For those who want to explore several varieties of our premium gourmet coffees, we are now offering 2 oz. sample packs. For larger purchases, we are now offering 1 lb. and 2 lbs. as well as our 5 lbs. packages.
To allow you greater flexibility and variety we are now offering our premium gourmet coffees in 8 oz. packages as well as our traditional 12 oz. size.
Our goal is to provide you with a variety of packaging options, which will allow you to easily share your favorites with friends, family, and others.

Increases in Costs Are Forcing the Price of YOUR Favorite Coffees Higher
Coffee is the most widely traded food commodity in the world. However, of the total world production of coffee, only 10% is classified as Premium Gourmet Coffee. Of that market, we buy only the top 5% of the Premium Gourmet Coffees available. Additionally, our coffees are purchased from small farms and co-ops, many of which own just a few acres of coffee grown at elevation and mill their beans by hand in the time-honored, old-fashioned way. We do not sell coffee grown on flatland coffee plantations – WE BUY NO PLANTATION GROWN COFFEE AT ALL.
Over the course of the last several months, the costs of acquiring Premium Gourmet Coffee have been steadily increasing at a significant rate. These increases have placed us in the unenviable position of being required to raise the price of the Premium Gourmet Coffee products we provide to you.
Increased cost factors of acquiring Premium Gourmet Coffees include:
- Weather Factors: This includes droughts in some coffee growing regions as well as floods in other coffee growing regions that have led and will continue to lead to product scarcity.
- Increased Growers’ Pricing Savvy: Simply put, growers worldwide have significantly improved communications (cell phones and Internet access), which affords them with the ability to closely monitor global prices and demand for their product when negotiating their selling price. This means that the grower is now able to be selective when selling and receive a higher price for their product.
- Government Instability: While this appears to be fairly self-evident, when governments become unstable or when the perception is that the government is unstable, coffee production decreases and exportation costs can increase dramatically which increases prices and can lead to scarcity.
- Increases in the Cost of Shipping: This is both, into and out of the United States as well as within the United States.
With the aforementioned said, over the course of the last few months we have experienced an average price increase of 20% for the high quality coffee beans we use to provide you your favorite Premium Gourmet Coffees. Coupled with this, we have also experienced an increase in shipping costs, both in acquiring coffee as well as delivering your order (roasted to your exact specifications) to you.
